Hatfield Pennsylvania Real Estate: High Quality, High Value Living

The borough of Hatfield contains a little over 2,600 residents. It is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. As part of the historical backdrop that makes the county well-known, Hatfield promotes a friendly, relaxed, atmosphere for families and individuals looking for a suburban way of life.

Most of the Hatfield PA real estate market covers a total of 0.7-square miles. Nestled in this area are five evenly-spaced parks, which allow virtually every resident access to a park within easy walking distance of his or her home. This is an important part of the borough, since the community prides itself on offering a pedestrian-friendly, high-quality but affordable lifestyle. To further this image, the borough of Hatfield boasts low electricity rates and low real estate taxes.

Many Hatfield residents live locally and work in Philadelphia or some of the other larger towns in the area. It is an easy commute to much of the area's commercial and industrial centers, and it provides the right backdrop for entrepreneurs or young professionals looking to create stable environment for the future. However, that's not all that Hatfield has to offer. Because of its more laid-back lifestyle, many people purchase Hatfield real estate as a way to retire healthily, peacefully, and happily.

Hatfield is a part of the central area of Montgomery County, near the Bucks County border. Montgomery County provides easy expressway access to other parts of Pennsylvania. The county enjoys great schools-from elementary age education through college.

Living in a small community, such as Hatfield, derives from a desire to enjoy where you live. However, its proximity to Philadelphia does not mean you have to compromise on what you want when purchasing a home. Indeed, many move to Hatfield to experience having it all: good schools, good jobs, and a great place to live.

Hatfield Real Estate Builds on its History

In the 1800s, before the railroad made its way through the area, there was plenty of open Hatfield real estate. This began to change as the years progressed, and in 1819, an inn was built at the intersection of a main artery into the then-township of Hatfield. One historical building, located at the corner Main and Vine streets and built circa 1827, is thought to be the oldest building in the borough.

In the 1850s, the Pennsylvania Railroad Company finished the railroad line from Philadelphia to Bethlehem. Hatfield Station, located on Cowpath Road, was a stop along the way. Development of Hatfield real estate grew out from the station; by the late 1800s, Hatfield's population had risen to 300, and in the 1900s, the township of Hatfield incorporated into the borough of Hatfield.

Homes for sale in Hatfield attract residents because it is located so close to both Philadelphia and Bethlehem professional opportunities. However, the value and lifestyle of living in Hatfield are certainly enough to convince prospective residents to make the move. If you enjoy walking, running, or riding your bicycle, Hatfield provides a scenic backdrop that encourages a healthy approach.

Hatfield Real Estate: Come for the Convenience, Stay for the Lifestyle

The borough of Hatfield lifestyle is neighborly and pedestrian-friendly. Hatfield and the other areas of the Montgomery County mingle to bring residents the best of suburbia with the ease of travel to Philadelphia or Bethlehem.
